*Disclaimer: this is a sponsored post, but all thoughts, opinions and lovely day dreams are my own.*
It has always been a dream of mine to go on a group trip somewhere with friends. You know, in the future when we’re all partnered up so it’s several couples? Well I haven’t found the partner but I have found where I’d like to go: a Playa Mujeres all inclusive resort, the Atelier Playa Mujeres in Mexico. Just north of Cancun, it has everything a group could want in a resort. It’s adults only and all-suites, plus they have an amazing spa, delicious restaurants and a top-of-the-line golf course!
All Suites
Yes, that’s right. Every room in the Atelier Playa Mujeres is a suite. Not just a suite, but a gorgeous suite. Each one has a luxurious marble bathroom, complete with a spacious bathtub and rain shower. There are ocean view suites and swim out suites. Yes. Swim out suites. Where the room opens to a personal terrace with lounge chairs, a lounge bed and a personal entrance to the pool. Want to tan without leaving your room? Just take two steps outside and there you are!
There are also suites with garden, golf course, pool and ocean views. It really depends what you’re looking for. You can even see straight out from the tub!
Amazing Dining
Everybody knows the best part about traveling is trying different foods! Well, at the Atelier Playa Mujeres, you don’t have to leave to try amazing local and international cuisine. Stop by Mercado 19 for Mexican foods, Takeshi for Asian cuisine, Cilento for Italian, and Los Abrazos for the churrasqueria-style meats of Argentina, Chile, Uruguay and Brazil. There are also several bars on the property, including a Mexican cantina-style bar called La Oficina and El Suspiro swim-up bar. If you want to eat by the pool, El Suspiro also has outdoor seating for breakfast and lunch.
Full Golf Course
Now I’m definitely not a golfer. Never have been and probably never will be. For some reason though, in all my random dreams of this group trip, we’d play golf. Ok, I’d be the caddy while others played golf, but still! There would be golf! So thankfully this Playa Mujeres golf course not only belongs to the hotel, it has been recognized as one of the best in Mexico! The course is divided in two, half facing the Chachmuchuch lagoon and the other half facing the Caribbean. All services are top of the line, and the Pro Shop is also available for both rentals and coaching. Maybe I’d give it a try after all!
Ultimately, a group trip will be fun regardless of where you go as long as it’s a good group. Maybe it’s the stage I’m at in life or this random vision I’ve had since I was younger, but a trip to somewhere like Atelier Playa Mujeres sounds like a dream come true. Now I just need the group to come with me! Anybody have any recommendations?

Seems like a gorgeous place. I love that al fresco dining area! And my, I love suites with personal pools. Though if I understand correctly, this one connects to the main pool? We booked a suite room last November in a hotel in Boracay simply because of its private plunge pool. They’re like my secret obsession.
Yes these connect to the main pool but you still have a bit of privacy!
