My friend Kirsty posed an interesting question the other day over on Instagram: what would you do if you essentially had endless amounts of money? I’ve been thinking about it, and of course the answer is travel! But I already travel? True. With money though, I would do more luxury travel and pamper myself. I would stay at gorgeous all inclusive resorts with spas, like the Oleo Cancun Playa.
I’ve never really stayed in an all inclusive resort, because I’ve always been more focused on travel for tourism rather than travel as vacation. Yes, there is a difference. But an all all inclusive boutique resort in Cancun? Yes please! Maybe it’s also that I’m getting into this new phase where I want to relax a bit more, but this type of travel sounds perfect.
The Oleo Cancun Playa is a new, all inclusive boutique resort centered around the guest. Here, the focus is excellent customer service every step of the way, combined with minimalist luxury, making you feel cozy in an elegant environment. Again, yes please!
Minimalist Luxury
You know those resorts you see in movies and TV shows? The classic all inclusive boutique resort in Cancun? The Oleo Cancun Playa is just that, but with an added touch I love: its minimalist style. White, marble and light wood accents against a blue sky and ocean are clean, simple and relaxing. Add bright lighting and plush furnishings and you get the Oleo!
The guest rooms are roomy and crisp, and look at that bed! This is the type of hotel room you don’t want to leave. *Room service for one please!*
Not only are the rooms spacious, the bathrooms are too. Lots of counter space for all your stuff without feeling like you’re super crowded, great for up to four people. The lighting looks amazing too.
Relaxing Spa
One of my favorite things – that I don’t do often enough – is go to the spa. There is nothing better than a spa day, where they welcome you kindly into a serene environment. The Nuup Spa at the Oleo is just that.
You could go to the sauna and steam bath, have an amazing massage in a private cabin and end the day by the spa’s open-air relaxation area. Sign me up!
Delicious Food
Plus they’ve got four restaurants on property. They have a casual cafe on the terrace overlooking the ocean, a Mediterranean, a Japanese and an International restaurant with ocean views and delicious-looking menus.
I can just imagine a stay here. Checking in to a stunning ocean view suite, changing into my bathing suit and immediately getting into the pool with a swim-up bar. Then spending the afternoon tanning and reading a book before enjoying a delicious meal at one of the restaurants. Waking up the next day, for an early morning paddleboarding session followed by lounging on the beach with some delicious fresh fruit. Then heading to the spa for an afternoon of treatments and relaxation before an evening of yummy room service in comfy robes…Wow. Sorry for the day dream! I’d never realized how much I want this until just now, haha!
So yeah, the Oleo Cancun Playa is on my list of dream travel. What’s on yours?
