Plus size fashion can be a bit of a nightmare. Hell, just living as a plus size person can be a nightmare. That doesn’t mean it has to be. Here’s some comfy, business casual plus size fashion inspo, from me to you!

I just realized that, like this post, I’m in black and white again. It’s my mom’s fault, I swear. Her favorite color is white and I’m 99% sure more than half her wardrobe is black and white. Not that I’m blaming her – I love these colors! They’re neutral, clean and extremely versatile. Naturally, a majority of my work wardrobe is black and white. Let’s be honest, I’m not a morning person and I’m not the type to plan my outfits ahead of time, so I need easy peasy in the morning before heading to work!

Because honesty is the best policy, I’m going to let you in on a little secret. I’ve never liked my body. Well, it’s not really a secret, but it’s something I struggle with daily. It’s a huge reason outfit pictures are so weird for me. I have to be in a good, confident place to even take these pictures, let alone post them. It’s a whole mental exercise; we’ll get into that another time.

Lately, though, I’ve been surrounding myself with positive influences and influencers who help me stay in a positive mindset and give me the courage to even do things like this. Thankfully the fashion industry has also stepped it up a bit and made fashionable, affordable clothing in plus sizes. I don’t have to dress like a grandma anymore!

So, to celebrate that I’m in a much better mental and emotional place with myself, I decided to share this look with you all. When I wear this outfit to work, I feel confident and ready to take on the day. It may be cliche, but it’s true when they say that if you look, good you feel good. I’m way more productive and in a much better mood!

To me, plus size fashion and my wardrobe used to be about covering my body and making it look smaller. Outfits like this don’t do that, but I don’t care! They show my personality a bit more and that’s all I want.
